¡Templo and the Medina Familia!

May 28, 2018

Hi everybody!

This week felt a little better, why?

Because we got to go to the temple! Sweet! There was a previous rule that we needed to be focused on the living and not on the dead so we never went on trips before this week. Things have changed and we went. I went with many questions to study and to be answered. I felt the revelation in the temple for many of those questions. We went in the morning and there is just a peace inside the temple that I don´t find anywhere else here.

The temple isn’t something to joke about hehe

Some other powerful things happened this week. We were able to have only 2 hours of church because a girl of 8 years of age was baptized in the third hour. It was a really cool experience because there were many nonmembers who went. One man, named John was willing to set up a time with us so we can visit him.

This past week was also really fun because we had a chance to participate in an Open Chapel / Capilla Abierta by teaching the topics on those banners. Banner in Spanish is banner (but people spell it like váner, hehe) That was super cool to talk with the people who have never heard about the church of Jesus Christ before.

This week overall has been really wonderful because we have been able to visit people who we have not visited before like Hermana Zulema, she is a little confused about what the Book of Mormon is and why we have it.

One of the most powerful families that we are visiting right now is the Medina Valencia family. The people in the family are Jhade 15, Angélica 11, and the mom, Amparo. There are other brothers but they don’t drop by much. So we had a chance to visit them with a family named the Cevallos Family. They are super cool and they really get along with the Family Medina. At first the mom was a little closed off, but because of the connection between the father’s work and the problems that family has, he is now able to help them and fellowship them more. As their daughter Maria Fernanda gets along with Jhade, she his fellowshipping the daughters more and more. Yesterday, Jhade asked us, I think Angélica wants to get baptized, we asked her quietly about it. She confirmed the thought, she does want to get baptized. It was as we were leaving so this week we will be focusing on them as they all progress towards Christ through baptism.

Well thank you everyone for reading today, and I will catch you all next time!

Atentamente,

Elder Wilhelm
