Luis, The Lazos and Macias Families
There was an earthquake! It was 3 in the morning. I was so tired I just headed out. I forgot the emergency backpack, but luckily my companion got it! It was an 8.0 earthquake in Peru. That is all I know.
Luis is going to get baptized this week! We are super happy for him, he is so converted to the gospel. He really feels like he is a part of the gospel now. We already taught him all the main lessons.
Well, I have been spelling Lasso wrong, it’s actually Lazo, but pronounced the same. Anyhow, this family has been really reluctant to go to church, but we encouraged them and they finally came! AND WOW it was awesome! My companion, Elder Brinkman, was assigned a talk. There is a family in the ward that are really strong members and that are friends of the Lazo family. They found each other there and the Lazo family said, “Wow, we didn’t know you were members”. They really admire that family and they also have a daughter, the same age as their daughter. That was their biggest obstacle, going to church, and they loved it! The Macias Family is super cool, at first they were really hesitant, and now they have so much curiosity in the gospel. We are going to figure out why they didn´t go to church though D:
SCARY EXPERIENCE so we were like “Hey Francisco how are you”, he said, I can’t stay down stairs for long because I am sick. Unknowingly we talk with him and we see that he has a ton of acne… hmm… interesting. He says, I have something they call lechina in Venezuela. Then I look closer and I realized he had Chicken Pox ( varicella here) and we were like Uh oh. We, panicked and bought a load of Hand sanitizer and bathed our hands in it. We didn’t get it! Woohoo!
