Guido and Pascua!

April 22, 2019

This week also went by in the blink of an eye. We had our first zone/district council. There are 28 missionaries and there are two more coming today!

We had a baptism at 7 in the morning of Guido! I just got to know him in this past week and a half and he is really awesome, really converted unto the gospel. He is really on board with everything. The ward is really helping him out as he is going to move into the ward from a really sketchy part of town. He has made so many sacrifices to come each week to church. He walks all over the city searching for work so the ward is going to help him out a little but he didn’t want too much.

Francisco was going to get baptized but his work schedule did not allow him to get baptized this week. Then he messaged us saying that he could get baptized! But…. the message didn’t get to us hehe. So… He is going to get baptized this weekend instead.

We’re also working with two part-member families whose daughters are going to get baptized. They’re going to get baptized the same day! We have met many people this week that speak English. One of them speaks Mandarin, English and Spanish. So I absolutely love being able to talk to people from all over!

In every lunch with the members, we get there and they are like “Elder you are still here!?!” It is so fun to see people again after so long. We also ate FANESCA! I had it last year. I am sorry, but the fanesca wasn’t so good last time. But this year we went to the Bustamante Alarcon Family and they gave us soooo much! It was soo good. Just so you know, Fanesca is a soup that has a bunch of beans and fish in it. And it was really good! Family traditions get soo good. This paragraph is all backwards but fanesca is given in Lent (Samana Santa, the holy week).

There are two young men that are really awesome. They are leaving with us everyday! So we are going to do some awesome stuff!

Thanks for reading this week! Have a good 1!
