Changes and Families!

Mission stuff
There were transfers this past week. And I stayed. Elder Freeman left and Hermana Plata left. We have Elder Findlay from Wyoming now! He sings very well and he is fun. He is getting along very well with Elder Pineda.

People we are teaching!

This week we visited the Espinoza family and we visited them with the Name family. Armando is super excited for his baptism this week. He wanted to get baptized this past Friday, but he had to go vote last Sunday so he wouldn’t have been able to get confirmed. The whole ward knows about his baptism now and we’re all very excited for them. Something that he sees as a miracle is that all the lessons basically end up having an experience about exactly what we were going to teach them. He says that really adds on to his testimony that the church is true. They said that after we leave talk they about what we share with them for hours on end.

When we thought about what we do on Sunday, he thought it was the best idea because then they don’t have to buy pizza on Sunday. The daughter Amy didn’t think it was such a good idea because she likes Pizza.

The Ordonez Family is taking care of someone who had a stroke and Armando is physical therapist and so they started talking about how they can continue helping him. Armando is a really great guy. He even wants to donate to the ward!

We also taught Richard about the priesthood this week. Oh he loved it. He wants to serve and bless the sacrament and is always very positive about everything he does. Also Miguel got the priesthood! The Ward is helping out Miguel.

We also were teaching Celso this week and he has been a little doubtful about receiving and answer from God. So we asked him if he had prayed and he said he had dreamed. So he described what happened. He said he dreamed about being baptized and that he just felt so much happiness and he remembers it very clearly. So we asked him “do you think that is the answer that you were waiting for?” and he said no. We felt like, “Of course, that was from God!” But he says he knows these things are true but he doesn’t know when he’s going to get them baptized. Later in the lesson he says he’s going to get baptized  April 27th! We are so happy for him he went to church this past week and he is loving it.

The other Venezuelan Family, the Bustamante family, went to church and had a good time, they loved it. They said it was way better than the other church they were going to! We are going to work with them to get a visa, but it will take a while.
