Sabanilla y Buijo

October 29, 2018

This week was awesome we got to go to Sabanilla. They grow rice there. BUT THERE ARE SO MANY MOSQUITOES. So good thing we have repellent, which helps. But we have had some interesting news this week because the companion exchange that we were about to finish, drum role… He is my companion! I think and hope. Elder Hernandez is super cool.

We are making goals to find 20 people a week and we are doing it! So we are having too many experiences to write down. But some of them are absolutely awesome. One of the houses we walked by I felt prompted to knock on the door. But no one was there.  My companion said we wouldn’t come back. Then we went by and the light was on. So we knocked again. But still no one was there. And then later we went by again. And the door was open and they were cooking lunch. She said come back in 1h 30m. So we did but she was still cooking! So even later we were starting to get really thirsty and so we returned to ask for water. She said to her husband to buy water. When he came back, he gave us the water and we thought we would have to come back later. But the husband said “Pasen” meaning “Come in” Surprised we entered and we sat down and the wife was still cooking for an activity of the neighborhood but she was listening. The father said he was born Catholic but nothing more and is willing to listen. They are super awesome. We would have never found them without so much persistence and guidance from the spirit. Literally there are so many experiences like that!

Have a good week!

Enjoy the fotos!
