Family Home Evening!

March 18, 2019

Last week the Family Espinoza got to church a tad late and they missed the sacrament. This week we were really encouraging them to get to church a little earlier so they can take the sacrament.

We also were going to do a family home evening with the Family Espinoza Sunday night. But! The dad in the family, who is going to get baptized here pretty soon was way too tired and wanted to rest. We had invited the Family Ordoñez at the time. So we coordinated with the Family Figueroa so we could visit them with the Family Ordoñez.

The Family Home Evening was super awesome. Everyone was sharing their testimonies about how God can help you through rough times. Both of the families are in rough financial situations where Satan is trying to take apart the family here. Now they are more motivated that ever! We are so happy for those three families. The Family Ordoñez have been members of the church for 5 years or so.

Back to the Family Espinoza, The dad and the daughter were going to get baptized BUT Here in Ecuador it is mandatory that people go and vote. They have to return to their original city to vote. If not, they get fined. It is pretty rough. The Family Espinoza has to go to Manabí for the weekend to do that. They are going to get baptized here pretty soon then. In one of the next weeks.

Family Home Evening with some rich people! Celso went to church and he met the Brother Mancero. So this week we coordinated with Celso and the Mancero Family. Brother Mancero invited a couple that goes to church every week. We get into the FHE and it was interesting because everyone shared their testimony about the Book of Mormon and Celso is trying to receive and answer. The Brother Pinargote who was other guest and he isn’t a member. He told him only to get baptized when he feels the answer in his heart by the holy ghost. It was a very unique lesson. They were all talking about going on vacations to Cuba saying that the flights were dirt cheap and the resorts were super awesome stuff like that it was crazy. Some of the people here have a ton of money.

For P-Day we got some zone shirts for everyone in the zone (although all of them aren’t being worn) And we played volleyball and we ate “Pan Hawaino” Super good.

We also got these little nut carvings from Oscar!
