Joya-Aurora-Pascuales and California

August 27, 2018

This week has been a blast!

This week was the last week of the mission for Elder McAninch, my companion.

So this week we got to share some moments saying goodbye.

He is leaving to California this week! But he has already gone to the office to finish up some stuff. But I am here with two cool Elders Hernandez and Robbins. So we are in a trio! I don’t know for sure who will be my new companion but I have heard that it might be one of the assistants.

News- my new companion and I are going to be in charge of 3 wards – La Joya, La Aurora, and Las Pascuales so we are going to be preaching and teaching to the people here and there! Some other news is that in Pascuales, the ward that used to belong to the West Mission, now belongs to the North Mission. My new companion and I will be working over there in the afternoon and in the Joya in the evening until the night. So this is going to require a bunch of organization to do. So I am super excited!

Part of the excitement is that we started off in Pascuales, which we started going to this past Sunday with the Mission President, Elder Thatcher, the assistant, and with two sister missionaries called Hermana Plata, and Hermana Schauers. President gave a talk to encourage the ward and the four of us gave a musical number singing The Army of Helaman (El Ejercito de Helamán) and it was super powerful then we had a spiritual lesson in Gospel principles. In 3rd hour we went by to every organization giving out referral slips so that people could give us references. But before, we got a bunch of copies of the Book of Mormon and put those slips in it and handed Books of Mormon to everyone. The ward is super energetic.

Lisandro this week got confirmed! We are so very happy! Although I wasn’t able to be there because it was in Pascuales at that time, we visited afterward and he is super content.

There is a family that we found in Pascuales and the son in the family, about 18 years old, said that he wants to be baptized perhaps this Saturday! We are super excited to help them towards that.

We also, with President, found someone that had never heard of baptism before but he wants to be baptized because he wants to follow the example of Jesus Christ.

Thanks for reading today!

But sorry for no pictures the computer has a virus I dont want to lose the pictures D:

Atentamente,

Elder Wilhelm

P.S. Some of the good people from Ecuador sent several pictures this week, so we do get pictures after all.
