Fin de Guayacanes
June 4, 2018
Hello! Good día!
This week has been a rollercoaster of a ride.

We shed tears with this Family, the Medina Family (Amparo, Angélica, Jhade, Elder Varela, and me). This family is really going through a tough moment. She fainted the other day for a couple hours. She isn´t getting enough blood to the head (the same thing happened to a brother in Samanes) She is instructed not to work or stress. The night we found out, we had brought the bishop and his sister with us. We gave her a blessing for the sick and aflicted by annointing of oil. As soon as we finished giving the blessing there were tears running down her face. One by one, her children started to form a group hug, comforting her. The next day she felt awesome, but didn´t follow the directions and put herself a little stressed and angry with the doctors. The next day we came back to find her practically fixed to the bed. We gave them a tool to use called Fasting. They can use that now to help her along the way.

The Medina Family has been progressing a ton, but they are not the only ones.
This week we have talked with a 16 year old named Luisny. (yes it is spelled correctly haha) but he has been listening very attentively to the discussions. He wants to be baptized at the end of the month. But they went on vacation this sunday. So they didn´t come but he is super cool.
There is another family who just came here from venezuela and they have are really open to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Because they come from Venezuela without anything, just with their shoes (they walk a ton in between stations to get here) and so to speed up the process of bringing more of their family here. So they work a ton to accomplish that. They are really wonderful. They are called the Curras Family.
But Sunday came. In the middle of missionary coordination, we received a call from our mission president.
“Elders, I am coming to your house now, how do I get there?”
We ran to the house and called him again to guide him there by phone.
“Elderes, I am not coming in this moment anymore, I wanted to pass by to see if the house was clean enough for the sisters to move in”
“What?” Responded my companion
“You (ustedes) are being reassigned to the Alborada Ward“
“Both of us?”
“Sí”
To let everyone know, I have 6 weeks here in Guayacanes. And we are being replaced… to the neighboring area!!! WOO!
What a phone call that was. Hands shaking, hearts pounding we headed back for the meeting. They had already split. But there were a couple of people that we announced to. They thought it was a joke at first.
Here is a cat we found that has HUGE eyes. We were really scared to approach this kitty because it has double the size of normal cat eyes.

And so we had to say goodbye to our wonderful class of Gospel Principles. In this moment was when Sister Amparo found out that we are going to leave.

Every time there is a huge transfer, I always remember that our president is inspired by the lord. This week I have been studying the scriptures more that ever before. I love them. All of it. There are many good scriptures that make me put myself to think, how can I change my life to benifit my good friends, investigators. I love the scriptures that are found in D&C 58. It is very clear what we need to do to become engaged in the work.
¡Hagamos de ésta una buena semana!
Atentamente,
Elder Wilhelm
